Will on the Hill

For two decades, a bipartisan cast from Congress and other political VIPs performs a light-hearted skit inspired by Shakespeare each spring to support arts education while exemplifying the values of collegiality and civic engagement.

Mock Trials

“A Washington wonk’s dream” –THE NEW YORK TIMES Legal issues permeating the work of Shakespeare have inspired STC’s popular Mock Trials for almost three decades. Showcasing nationally acclaimed lawyers making their arguments before a bench of Supreme Court and other distinguished justices and a jury of audience members, the law has never been more fun!

STC Gala

Hailed by WASHINGTON LIFE MAGAZINE as the area’s “most buzzed-about gala" STC's annual event is not to be missed. Hosted by acclaimed artistic director, Simon Godwin, the gala celebrates Shakespeare’s enduring influence across time and cultures with an international cast of performers and celebrities and provides critical funds for STC’s artistic, education, and community programs year-round.
