The Shakespeare Theatre Company held the second annual Harman Center for the Arts Gala on Monday, October 27, 2008 under the gracious patronage of His Excellency the British Ambassador and Lady Sheinwald.

The William Shakespeare Award for Classical Theatre Recipients
The 2008 Harman Center for the Arts Annual Gala honored three artists whose accomplishments in interpreting Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet have widened the appreciation of Shakespeare.

The Sidney Harman Award for Philanthropy in the Arts was awarded to The Harman Family Foundation. The gala performance at Sidney Harman Hall A Night in Verona also featured several other special guest performers:
