One Actor. Twelve Characters. 1000 Catastrophes.
International Commedia dell'Arte specialist Matthew R. Wilson transforms a bare stage into a raucous world of young lovers, squabbling old men, boasting soldiers, and dim-witted servants. The entire town is thrust to the brink of tragedy (even forcing Wilson to duel himself!) before love prevails, normalcy is restored, and comedy triumphs!!!
This limited engagement at Harman Hall is a participant in the worldwide "Commedia dell'Arte Day" promoted by the Italian cultural association SAT-incommedia and organized internationally by Washington, DC's own Faction of Fools Theatre Company. Wilson is Artistic Director of Faction of Fools and a proud graduate of STC's Academy for Classical Acting.
