Assistant House Manager - Part Time

House Managers. Responsibilities for this entry-level position
include training ushers, greeting and seating patrons and maintaining

Associate Properties Manager

The Shakespeare Theater Company, in Washington DC, seeks an experienced Associate
Properties Director to assist all aspects of running the Properties Department. Primary
duties will include but are not limited to: timesheet/payroll tracking,
accounts payable, budget tracking, supply purchasing, maintenance needs
tracking and communication, and logistical organization and execution. The
Associate will serve in lieu of the Properties Director in his absence,
and will assist in the day-to-day direction and prioritization of the prop
shop staff. This position requires a Bachelors in Theatre, or equivalent
professional experience, at least 4 years of professional theatre work,
and one to three years of supervisory experience. Basic MS Office and accounting
skills preferred. Must have a valid drivers license and be able to lift
at least 50lbs on a regular basis.

Electrics Position

team. The Electrician will work on both STC productions and rental
events. The successful candidate will have at least two years of
professional electrics experience. The Electrician should be a

lift 50+ lbs unaided. Experience with ETC Obsession and/or Eos
console is strongly preferred. Position is year-round, full-time

Director of Individual Giving

The Shakespeare Theatre Company seeks a motivated and dedicated individual
to create, develop and execute a strategic fundraising plan for individual
giving to the Shakespeare Theatre Company annual fund and capital campaign. The
Director of Individual Giving oversees the Membership Manager and is
responsible for major donor identification, cultivation, solicitation
and stewardship as well as overseeing all direct marketing fundraising
activities.
The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication
skills, interact well with people, and handle high-pressure situations
with diplomacy and tact. A bachelor’s degree is required and
at least four years related experience in both sponsorship and arts fundraising
is recommended. Knowledge of Shakespeare and classic theatre is helpful.
Candidate must have a sense of humor and the ability to work in a frenetic
and upbeat, exciting, ever-changing atmosphere. Knowledge of DC community,
locales, residents, performing arts scene and philanthropy a major plus.
Ideal candidate will be a quick thinking self-starter who has a global
view of the department and its relevance to the rest of the organization. Ability
to take initiative, exercise good judgment, providing guidance to other
staff required as well as a demonstrated ability to work flexible hours,
including evenings and weekends.

theatre and the nation’s leading force in presenting and preserving
classic theatre. The Company operates the Harman Center for the Arts, which

raised in contributed funds. This position is responsible for raising

Major Gifts Coordinator

The Shakespeare Theatre Company seeks a Major Gifts Coordinator to manage
the cultivation and stewardship of Board of Trustees, all Artistic
Circle ($1,500+) donors, and donor affinity groups. This position works
with the Individual Giving team, Chief Development Officer and Board
of Trustees, to coordinate all major donor identification, cultivation,
solicitation and stewardship for the annual fund and other campaigns,
in addition to supporting the CDO with communications and scheduling.
Additionally, the Major Gifts Coordinator manages projects for the
annual fund major gift campaign, including the Lawyers Committee and
Ambassadors program, and other projects as needed. This position facilitates
fundraising for major individuals, coordinates meetings and events
for Board of Trustees, National Council, Lawyers Committee, Affinity
Groups, plans by participating in cultivation activities, developing
relationships with individual prospects and donors, and coordinating
solicitations and special projects as assigned, including but not limited
to grant writing and research.
The successful candidate will be highly organized with excellent attention
to detail and a facility for numbers and budget analysis. Knowledge
of Microsoft Word and Excel is necessary and knowledge of Tessitura or
similar donor database is strongly preferred. A bachelor's degree
is required and related experience is recommended. Knowledge of Shakespeare
and classic theatre is helpful but not necessary.

Part Time HR/Payroll Coordinator

Resources/Payroll Coordinator to start in late June. The Coordinator will be
responsible for maintaining all HR related data including but not limited to;
payroll, benefits, recruiting, workers compensation, billing, and federal compliance.
This is an entry level position that requires a basic understanding of Human
Resources and strong computer skills. Bachelors in HR or equivalent professional
experience, strong organization skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize,
and strong communication skills are required. Preference will be given to candidates
with experience in maintaining HRIS systems and industry knowledge. Valid Drivers
License and Background Check required. This position is 20-30 hours a week, with
