You’ve just been handed a Shakespeare scene—and you’ve got five minutes to make it come alive. What now? How do you warm up a cold read, find help from the text, and unleash your imagination while still holding the script in your hand?

This class is part scene study, part workout. Each session, you’ll get a new Shakespeare scene, take five minutes to prepare, then dive in and give it a go. This is a collaborative, play-building space focused on finding quick analysis, so you can get out of intellect and into your body and the space. You’ll share strategies, test approaches, and learn what truly helps you unlock confidence, creativity, and play. Cold reads don’t have to freeze you up; they can be playful, creative, and full of possibilities. Let’s find out how!

All experience levels are welcome.
