Hours: Year-round, 6 a.m. to midnight.
Perfect views: “The number one thing a visitor gets from this garden is the view of the city. The Garden is just in front of the Netherlands Carillon which you can find out more online about it. The bells ring briefly every 15 mins with longer periods at noon and six. It is an excellent location to reflect on the city, and during tulip season there is an impressive flower display, too.” Rich Moorer, Park Ranger.
Sights and sounds of friendship: Gifted by the Dutch people as an expression of gratitude for American aid during and after WWII, the Netherlands Carillion symbolizes the friendship and shared values between the U.S. and the Netherlands. The two bronze lions, designed by Dutch scultptor Paul Koning, and tulip collection reinforce the message of peace and cooperation.
Don’t miss: A guest artist plays a live concert every Saturday in June, July and August, and on Memorial and Labor Day.
