Ronald K. Brown and Evidence blends African, modern, ballet and hip-hop dance styles to tell stories about what is important about the human experience.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Ronald K. Brown and Evidence is one of America’s most celebrated dance companies, focusing on the seamless fusion of traditional African dance with contemporary choreography and spoken word. One of the few choreographers to explore in depth the history of blacks in America through dance, Ronald K. Brown uses traditional dance movement as a way to reinforce the importance of community in contemporary culture.
This evening features the DC debut of Brown’s new work, The Two-Year Old Gentleman, plus other selections from the Evidence repertory.
