Camp Shakespeare
Spend the summer with
Shakespeare!
Sessions run from June 18–August
11, 2012!
Participants in this acting-intensive day camp journey through a world
of discovery, capturing Shakespeare’s language through animated
explorations in theatrical movement, text analysis, group improvisation
and stage combat. Over two weeks, young people ages 9–18 create
fun, dynamic characters from Shakespeare’s canon, culminating
in a performance onstage at the Shakespeare Theatre Company.
Camp Hours are 10:00a.m.–5:00p.m. Monday–Friday
with a showcase on the last Saturday
"Camp Shakespeare is fun and challenging and you learn
a great deal about acting and understanding Shakespeare. In
theatre, I've always been told, if you can do Shakespeare well,
then you can pretty much do anything." –Sarah Hirsch,
