Staging Configurations and Virtual Tour

Michael Kahn's direction to Harman Center architect Jack Diamond was to:

“Create a theatre that will give contemporary expression to the timeless space of classical performance; where any director, musician or choreographer can realize his or her vision. Directors are often tyrannized by architecture. I want the architecture to be created by the style of presentation. The most important characteristic of classical theatre and often in dance and music as well, is that it can be viewed from a variety of perspectives. It is just that flexibility that must be present in that space.”
