At the close of the play, Malvolio promises: “I’ll be revenged on the whole pack of you.” (act 5, scene 1.) Indeed, Malvolio exacts his revenge in the form of a civil lawsuit and resultant massive jury verdict of over $10,000,000. In the subsequent appeal, former U.S. Solicitor General Paul Clement, Esq., will represent Malvolio and Roy Englert, Esq., will represent Olivia and her household.
