Enjoy a series of thoughtful conversations inspired by the themes of Macbeth. The afternoon symposium brings together artists, scholars and a variety of experts in engaging discussions.
The multi-part event will feature a look at the language of gender in Macbeth with American Shakespeare Center’s Cass R. Morris and a panel featuring a conversation on the play’s political perspectives with actor Anu Yadav and scholars Alexa Alice Joubin (The George Washington University) and Gibson Cima (Georgetown University). The event will conclude with a discussion about representation on the classical stage featuring the lead actors Nikkole Salter and Jesse J. Perez and moderated by Aisha Harris, Slate culture writer and host of the Slate podcast Represent.
