Angelina: A Contemporary Cinderella
A 40-minute storytelling opera for ages 5 and up.

If you took away the glass slippers, the pumpkin and the fairy godmother what would be left with from the Cinderella story? Quite a bit!
You get a prince looking for a princess, a neglected girl, some juicy sibling rivalry and a wise philosopher.
How is Cinderella able to overcome all the hardships in her path? Her kindness and decency! The opera’s full title, “La Cenerentola, ossia La Bonta in Trionfo”, means “Cinderella, or Goodness Triumphant”.
This is a free, fun and engaging mix of music and storytelling promoting tolerance, acceptance and respect.

This event is FREE, however reservations are required.

This event is brought to you by the 11th annual Kids Euro Festival, a two-week long festival of European arts and culture presenting free activities to D.C. metro area children and their families. With programs both for the general public and for school groups, more than 10,000 DC-area children and their families enjoy Kids Euro Festival programs each year. This is made possible by the 28 European Union countries and the European Union Delegation in Washington in cooperation with the European-American Cultural Foundation.
