The Shakespeare Theatre Company's Teaching Artist Training program is a professional development initiative created collaboratively by education professionals, teaching artists and education directors from the Shakespeare Theatre Company, Denver Center Performing Arts Academy and Seattle Repertory Theatre. The Teaching Artist Training Program is designed to increase the capacity of teaching artists and theatre education staff working in a variety of environments. Through interactive, hands-on workshops and reflection, TAT seeks to answer the following essential question: How do we build capacity for theatre institutions and teaching artists to provide quality educational experiences for all students? TAT includes educational modules that work to increase the essential skills of the theatre teaching artist.
