The Guides to the Season’s Plays is a comprehensive investigation of the plays for the upcoming season. The Guide features critical essays by scholars, detailed synopses of each play and biographical information about the playwrights as well as additional resources and an introduction to Shakespeare’s world. First Folio: Teacher Curriculum Guides
First Folio: Teacher Curriculum Guides are designed to enhance the experience of students attending SHAKESPEARIENCE, student matinee performances and all School Programs. For the 2008-2009 season, First Folio Guides will be developed for Romeo and Juliet, Twelfth Night and Ion. First Folio Guides provide curriculum connections to the play and the playwright as an aid to teachers preparing their students for the performance. The Folios include a plot synopsis, background information on the world and the characters of the play as well as pre- and post-performance activity ideas and discussion questions. The accessible design of the Folios allows teachers to easily incorporate the material into the classroom.
