Practice the basic skills required to be an actor. Begin your journey with an exploration of the actor’s vocal, physical and psychological instrument while playing fun games, creating characters, and performing with an ensemble.

Course Objectives: Participants will…
• Find greater confidence and physical ease while performing in front of others
• Explore and expand their physicalities
• Learn how to use their voices safely and effectively
• Learn how to mine a text for clues to character creation
• Explore imaginary places and circumstances, and apply those imaginary circumstances to their characters’ lives

Course Outcomes: Participants will be able to…
• Identify a character’s objectives, tactics, and given circumstances
• Create characters that are physically different from one another
• Perform one scene in two to three completely different ways
