Instructor: Eva Wilhelm
Prior Experience: Prior participation in Introduction to Acting or equivalent required.
Plunge into scene work through in-depth text analysis, concentrated partner work and full investment in given circumstances. As the first step in the continued study of the craft of acting, students in this class explore ways to activate contemporary texts in rehearsal and performance.

Why I Teach: “I love teaching classes at STC because of the huge range of people that take them, and how much they learn from each other. Adults from every possible background and job description end up working together to create these vibrant, beautiful scenes. It’s such a fun and fulfilling process!”
From the Syllabus:

Week Three: Rehearsal: how do we deepen our understanding of character, text, and vocal and physical choices?
Week Four: Performance: how do we apply our rehearsal skills to create a bold performance?
Week Five: New scenes: how do we take what we’ve learned and apply it to a new scene?
