About the National Council
The National Council is a group of prominent corporate leaders, arts patrons, theatre artists and educators from across the country who play a major role in helping the Shakespeare Theatre Company broaden its reach nationally and internationally.
The National Council convenes semi-annually in Washington and supports the Theatre's national outreach by providing assistance with touring opportunities, joint productions and public relations outside of Greater Washington. The National Council also serves as advocate for the Theatre's education programs and for classical theatre arts education in America.
