Volunteering
Thank you for your interest in becoming a
volunteer!
Our dedicated volunteers play an essential role in
the successful operation of the Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) and
the Harman Center for the Arts. Volunteers provide support to numerous
departments, including house management, hospitality and administration.
Time commitments vary by department.
Volunteers serve as hosts to our patrons at STC performances
and events as well as at other artistic events such as music, dance
and theatrical performances produced by our artistic partners at the
venues of the Harman Center for the Arts.

- Invitations to select Shakespeare Theatre Company special events.
- 10 percent discount in our Gift Shops.
- 10 percent discount on Master Acting Classes.
- An insider’s look into the inner-workings of the “best

Volunteer applications are accepted year-round with
orientations for new volunteers occurring four times a year. Volunteers
are asked to make a season-long commitment. Once an application form
is submitted, prospective volunteers are contacted via email to set
up a brief phone interview.
