Volunteer Responsibilities and Guidelines
For all volunteer positions, you are expected to:

  • make a commitment to fulfill your duties as assigned
  • report to your supervisor as requested
  • provide at least 24-hour notice if you need to cancel your volunteer appointment
  • have a working email address that can be used for volunteer-related correspondence

What to Expect: Ushering Responsibilities
Volunteers who serve as ushers are also expected to:

  • be able to stand for up to 45 minutes
  • adhere to the dress code (outlined in Frequently Asked Questions)
  • follow instructions fully
  • return to your assigned station for all of Intermission
  • at the Lansburgh Theatre please wait for our patrons to get their items from Coat Check before you get yours. This is a great opportunity to check the House for possible lost items.
