Important Info To Know Before You Arrive

Rain Policy: Performances will be canceled in the event of lightning, steady downpour or if conditions make the stage unsafe for the actors. The decision to cancel a performance will not be made before 7:00 p.m. and may not be made until as late as 8:00 p.m. on the evening of the performance. If rain or lightning should begin after the start of a performance, a twenty-minute rain delay may go into effect. The performance may still be canceled after holding for a rain delay if the inclement weather continues, or if conditions have made the stage unsafe for the actors. There will be no rain checks for canceled performances except for Friends of Free For All.

Refreshments and Picnicking: Concession stands inside the Amphitheatre open at 5:30 p.m. Come early and picnic! There are plenty of lush grassy areas and a few picnic tables located inside and outside the Amphitheatre’s main gates, so bring a blanket and take advantage of the beautiful park grounds.

Picnicking within the Amphitheatre gates: You are welcome to bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages into the Amphitheatre. Please pack your food and drink items in soft containers. The National Park Service does not permit alcoholic beverages, metal cans, glass bottles, hard sided coolers or picnic baskets, pets, folding chairs, bicycles, roller blades, skateboards or scooters within the Amphitheatre gates. Cameras or recording devices of any kind are not permitted within the Amphitheatre gates.

For your security, all bags will be inspected at the gate by National Park Service Rangers and/or police.

Federal copyright laws prohibit the use of cameras or any other recording devices in the Amphitheatre.

Please silence cellular phones, watch alarms, beepers and pagers before entering the amphitheatre.

Smoking is not permitted in the Amphitheatre.
