Behind the Scenes: Sound
Our award-winning and nationally recognized audio staff operates out of our Lansburgh
offices, where they maintain a broad range of audio/visual hardware and software.
Equipment includes Meyer, EAW and JBL loudspeakers; Crown, Crest and QSC
amplifiers; BSS and KT signal processing; effects processors by TC Electronics
and Yamaha; Allen & Heath and Soundcraft consoles, microphones by Rode, Shure,
Sennheiser and AKG, and fully-redundant SFX ProAudio/ShowControl playback
automation. The sound department provides both creative design services to
the Theatre’s productions, and provides technical support to our guest artists,
our productions, and the ongoing lectures, special events, and other activities
of the Theatre.
